Voicemail Notifications
By default, notifications for voicemails will be emailed to your primary work email address. This notification will include information on the person calling, as well as a speech to text preview of the voice message.
These notifications can be customized to include an audio file containing the voice message itself. To do so, go to the Notifications tab on your user settings.
On this main screen you have the option to turn notifications on or off for received voicemails, as well as received faxes, missed calls, success and failure messages for outbound faxes, and received text messages. The defauls are as the screenshot shows, where email notifications will be sent for voicemails, faxes, fax transmission results, and text messages.
There are some additional settings that you can access that are not immediately visible. Click Basic Settings in the top right and change the selection to Advanced Settings. That will change the screen to the below screenshot.
Click Customize Notifications on the same line as Voicemail Messages. That will bring you to the following screen. To include the audio file for the received voicemail, you will want to select the first checkbox for Include attachment with email. Once that option is selected, you will also have the option to Mark message as read once emailed which will clear the New Voicemail notification light from your desk phone.
